Built upon the rich heritage of traditional Chinese Go culture, Tianyuan Building itself is a sophisticated and timeless Go museum that seamlessly blends artistry with cultural significance. Every corner of the hotel exudes the refined elegance and timeless charm associated with Go. The fountain plaza in front of the building features a grand chess pot carved from Han white jade, accompanied by five black-and-white Go pieces—each element meticulously crafted to evoke the essence of this ancient game. At the building’s apex, a revolving restaurant rises high into the sky, resembling an enormous chess pot suspended above the cityscape. Even the lush lawns in the back garden are dotted with classic Go board configurations. Inside the building, you’ll find dedicated spaces for showcasing Go culture, including the China Go Museum and the China Go Library. Each floor of the guestroom area boasts its own unique thematic decor inspired by Go, featuring masterpieces by renowned artists, authentic artifacts, photographs of famous figures, and exquisite works of art—all carefully arranged to highlight the deep connection between Go and Chinese culture. Even the private dining rooms and conference halls bear names drawn from Go’s rich lore, each accompanied by vivid illustrations and engaging descriptions, making them not only functional spaces but also captivating visual experiences brimming with cultural value.
